What's Happening:
The No. 31-ranked Boise State Broncos (4-0, 2-0 WAC) are set to host their first competition of the 2010 season. The Broncos host Sacramento State and Seattle Pacific University in a triangular meet slated for 7 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 12 at Taco Bell Arena. The meet will be done in conjunction with the Boise State wrestling team's competition against Oregon State, forming the popular "Beauty and the Beast" competition. The meet is also scheduled to be the Bronco gymnastics' "Pink Night" where the teams will wear pink leotards. Tickets, which can be purchased at the event, are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for juniors and seniors. BSU students get in free with valid ID.

Last Time Out:
The Broncos had a solid showing in their most recent meet, a dual with Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 7. There the Broncos were able to capture wins on all four events and the all-around to also earn the team title. Hannah Redmon won the vault, bars and floor while Kelsey Lang earned a win on beam and Amy Glass in the all-around.  

All-Time Series:
The Boise State Broncos hold substantial leads over both Sacramento State and Seattle Pacific in the all-time series records. The Broncos most recently faced the Sacramento State Hornets in their season-opening meet on Jan. 15 where they picked up a win, improving to 13-7 over the Hornets. The Broncos have won the past six meetings between the two schools. Facing Seattle Pacific last year on Jan. 23, 2009, the Broncos extended their consecutive wins streak to 26 over SPU and hold a 44-9 all-time record lead.

Athlete of the Week:
Junior Hannah Redmon earned her second WAC honor of the season this week when she was named WAC Specialist of the Week. She earned a WAC Gymnast of the week honor for the week of Jan. 11-17 while freshman Hailey Gaspar earned a WAC Specialist of the Week honor for the week of Jan. 25-31.  

Making a Mark in the Record Books:
Four current Broncos hold spots in the all-time records for Boise State. Junior Hannah Redmon most recently moved up to No. 4 on the all-time career wins on vault chart with 11 total, while also moving up to a tie for No. 4 on all-time career wins on floor with 11 as well. Redmon also holds a tie for No. 8 on the all-time career wins in the all-around chart with five, although she has not earned any this season. Redshirt senior Taylor Jacob sits in a tie for third for all-time career wins on bars with 13 while sophomore Lindsay Kazandjian and junior Kelsey Lang share the tie for No. 10 in all-time career wins on beam with four each.  

Boise State Broncos:
The Broncos continue to hold the No. 31 spot in this week's NCAA national team rankings. They also improved four spots on bars to No. 34, dropped on spot on vault to No. 17, and dropped three spots on both the beam and floor to No. 34 and No. 33, respectively.

Broncos In the Rankings:
Fewer Broncos are maintaining their spots in the national weekly top-100, however Amy Glass stands strong in two events, holding a No. 60 spot on vault and No. 92 ranking in the all-around. Hannah Redmon holds the two highest rankings of any Broncos, sitting at No. 17 on vault and tying for No. 12 on floor. Hailey Gaspar is at a tie for the No. 20 rank in the nation on vault while Taylor Jacob ranks tied for No. 61 on bars as well as Katie Tuller at No. 89 on bars. Kelsey Lang holds a tie for No. 50 on beam while Mallory Dziawura holds a tie for No. 92 on beam.   

Sacramento State:
Sacramento State enters the weekend with a No. 43 national team ranking while also holding the No. 58 spot on vault, No. 29 on bars, No. 39 on beam and No. 52 on floor as a team.

The Hornets (3-6) hold a season-high team score of 193.225, which they set this past weekend at the Stanford quadrangular. The Feb. 7 meet produced a third place finish for the Hornets, where they fell to Stanford and Washington as well as defeating San Jose State.

Seattle Pacific:
Seattle Pacific enters the weekend ranked No. 59 as a team. They also hold the No. 60 spot on vault, No. 52 on bars, No. 62 on beam and No. 59 on floor.

The Falcons (0-6) have yet to win a meet and finished in second at the UC Davis dual this past Fri., Feb. 5. There the Falcons produced their season-high score of 188.550.
