► What's Happening - Boise State volleyball is taking its final long travel weekend of the season, heading to Las Cruces, N.M., and Ruston, La. The Broncos (5-18, 5-6 WAC) first head to New Mexico State for a 7 p.m. (MST) on Thursday, Nov. 5. They finish their weekend at Louisiana Tech in a 3 p.m. (MST) match on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The Broncos need to win as many of their five remaining regular season WAC matches to solidify a spot in the 2009 WAC Championship Tournament in Las Vegas, Nov. 23-25.

► Record Watch - A few Broncos are edging their way into the Boise State school record books with junior Sadie Maughan leading the way. Maughan holds the No. 4 spot in total career points scored (since the inception of rally scoring in 2001) with 750.0 total points. Alisha Young also ranks in the same category, holding the No. 6 spot with 684.5 career points, only eight out of the No. 5 spot. Lauren Hamm adds to her No. 10 spot in the all-time career digs category with 988 so far. She is 22 digs away from the No. 9 spot.

Some marks to keep an eye on include Maughan's total career blocks number. She is nearing the top-10 all-time with 273 so far through her career. The No. 10 spot is 282 total blocks. Lauren Hamm is nearing the career aces top-10 with 71. Cameron Flunder (2003-06) holds the No. 10 spot with 117 career aces.

Looking at Boise State...
► In General - The Broncos have turned their WAC season around earning four straight home court wins over Idaho, Utah State, Nevada and most recently over Louisiana Tech on Halloween night. Two of the wins were 3-0 sweeps, while the other two were 3-1 wins. The Broncos have moved from No. 8 in the conference standings to No. 5 in the matter of two weeks of play.

► Quick Look at the Broncos - The Broncos are led by junior Sadie Maughan in kills (225) and hitting percentage (.255) as well as blocks (95) and points (278.0). Alisha Young is close behind with 215 kills, a .221 hitting percentage and 256.5 points. Breann Nesselhuf leads the team with 700 assists this season, while Jeanene Rose has had 19 service aces and Amanda Remy 258 digs to lead the Broncos.

An Overview: Boise State vs. New Mexico State...
► The Series - The series between Boise State and New Mexico State dates back to 1984 with NMSU holding a 13-8 lead over the Broncos. In their first meeting this season, the Aggies came away with a 3-0 sweep of the Broncos in Bronco Gym on Oct. 8. This coming Thursday will be the second and final meeting between the two teams during the regular season. The Broncos hold a 10-match losing streak to the Aggies.
 
► About New Mexico State - The Aggies are led offensively by Kayleigh Giddens with 276 kills while Kelsey Brennan holds the top hitting percentage number with .312 and the top blocking total of 96.0. Jennah Devries leads the team with 760 set assists while Krista Altermatt tops the team in ace serves with 18. Defensively, Kelsi Phillips leads the team in digs with 293 on the season.

An Overview: Boise State vs. Louisiana Tech...
► The Series - The series between Boise State and Louisiana Tech sits at a 14-2 advantage for the Broncos all-time dating to the 1998 season. The Broncos have also won the last five meetings, including their most recent match this past Saturday in a 3-1 win over La Tech in Bronco Gym. This coming Saturday will be the second and final meeting between the two teams during the regular season.
 
► About Louisiana Tech - The Lady Techsters have dropped from No. 5 to No. 7 in the WAC standings in one week of play. They suffered a 3-0 loss to Utah State on Oct. 29 followed by the 3-1 loss to Boise State on Oct. 31 to fall to 14-14(4-8 WAC) on the season. They are prepped to host Idaho on Nov. 5 and Boise State on Nov. 7. The team is led by Nataliya Panova with 230 kills and 270.0 points this season. Kara Jones leads the team in hitting percentage with .275 and blocks (110.0) while Bianca Bin leads in sets with 790. Kassia Pinto holds the top mark on the team with 20 ace serves while Lori Hunsucker has tallied 377 digs this season.
