BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Women’s tennis players Pichittra Thongdach and Lauren Megale are headed to New Haven, C.T. this weekend (Nov. 5-8) to represent the Broncos among some of the top collegiate tennis players in the country at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at Yale University.

The tournament will be comprised of a 32 player singles field and a 16 team doubles field. Competitors earned a spot in the tournament by either winning their regional championship, winning an ITA small college championship, winning the ITA All-American tournament or by receiving an at-large selection. Thongdach won the Wilson/ITA Mountain Region Singles Championship, while also teaming up with Megale to win the region doubles title.

Thongdach has tallied a 10-4 singles record this fall and enters the weekend having won six consecutive matches. She is currently the No. 47 ranked singles player in the country. As a doubles team, Thongdach and Megale are 9-2 after entering the fall ranked No. 33 in doubles in the ITA preseason national rankings.

Matches will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday (Nov. 5), with first round doubles and singles matches being played throughout the day. The tournament will conclude on Sunday with the championship matches.
