WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Albertsons Stadium will transition into a new entry procedure during the 2014 football season to increase safety and security at all home games. Throughout the season, metal detectors will be added to entries and all bags will be checked. Fans will be asked to limit items brought into the stadium and are encouraged to either leave bags at home or place items in clear bags for expedited entry.

WHAT CHANGES ARE BEING MADE:
Boise State University is upgrading security measures at Albertsons Stadium to keep pace with evolving best practices at stadiums around the country and comply with Idaho law, which prohibits anyone from carrying firearms into Albertsons Stadium. Boise State University and Albertsons Stadium have one priority: keeping our students, athletes and fans safe. Albertsons Stadium is a gun-free facility.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GATE:
Screening areas will be placed at the outside of stadium gates, where tickets will be taken as you enter. Bags will be searched and fans will be asked to empty their pockets and pass through the walk-through metal detector. If the detector is alarmed, that guest will go through a secondary screening process. In most cases the fan will be moved along without delay, however, in some necessary cases additional screening will be done by security.

DRONES PROHIBITED:
Drones or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are strictly prohibited in or around Albertsons Stadium on game day due to the potential for hazardous overflight and security threat concerns. Additionally, the FAA restricts the use of drones or RCMAs within three miles around and 3,000 feet in altitude above the stadium starting 1 hour prior to kick-off (Temporary Flight Restriction is in effect) and Boise State University has a campus policy precluding the overflight of campus anytime without prior approval through Campus Public Safety.
