Ben Jaeger joined Boise State as Assistant Director of Sports Performance in July 2014. In this capacity he directly oversees the yearly athletic development programs for Boise State's women’s gymnastics, women’s swimming and diving, softball and wrestling programs.

Jaeger began his career in sports performance in 2010, serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and as a strength and conditioning assistant coach at Denmark (Wisc.) High School.

Jaeger took a position as a sports performance intern at Oregon State from Jan.-Sept., 2011, assisting the Beaver sports performance staff with the implementation of training programs for football, baseball, men’s basketball, volleyball, and women’s swimming.

He moved on to Oral Roberts University in Oct. 2011, working there until Nov. 2012 as assistant strength and conditioning coach, where he directly developed and administered all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for baseball position players, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s golf, and women’s golf, in addition to assisting with numerous other programs in the department. Jaeger also aided the head strength coach with design and direction of nutrition education program for all student-athletes.

Jaeger then took a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach position at Southern Illinois from 2012-14, earning his M.S. Ed. in kinesiology while directly overseeing the creation and implementation of year-round strength and conditioning programs for baseball, men’s tennis, men’s golf, men’s swimming, and women’s swimming. He also assisted with the development and implementation of strength and conditioning program for football and men’s basketball, and provided assistance to strength and conditioning staff members with the evaluation and implementation of a functional movement screen.

Jaeger earned his B.S. in health and promotion wellness with an emphasis on fitness leadership, and minored in strength and conditioning and nutrition from Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2011.

Jaeger holds the following certifications: N.S.C.A. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (May 2010), USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance certified (January 2011), CPR/AED Certified (American Red Cross) Standard First Aid Certified (American Red Cross).
