Matt Beckman began his post as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions at Boise State on Sept. 6, 2011.
Beckman joined the Bronco staff after spending the past five years as the Director of Athletic Marketing at Gonzaga University.
While at the Spokane, Washington school, Beckman directed a marketing effort that experienced record growth in the department. During his tenure, sponsorship revenue increased 15 percent annually, women's basketball season ticket sales improved by 45 percent and he directed a social media campaign that increased 85 percent in interactions each of the last four years.
Beckman administered game-day aspects at all Gonzaga athletic events, and also supervised two ESPN Midnight Madness events and one ESPN College Game Day event for the Bulldog men's basketball team.
Prior to working at Gonzaga, Beckman was the Athletic Marketing Director at the University of Minnesota-Duluth for five years. There he helped increase corporate sponsorship sales by over $200,000 over five years along with boosting attendance in men's and women's hockey by over 25 and 15 percent, respectively.
Beckman, who is a board member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators, is a May 2000 graduate of Minnesota-Duluth with a bachelor's degree in marketing and communications. He earned his master's degree in sport and athletic administration from Gonzaga in June of 2010.
