Steve Schulz enters his first year at Boise State as the associate strength and conditioning coach.
Before coming to Boise State, Schulz spent the last 15 years operating his own sport-conditioning and consulting facility, where he worked with both high school and collegiate athletes. While running the facility, he also served as the strength and conditioning coach for football, basketball and baseball at St. Francis High School for eight years. In addition, he spent fives season as the strength and conditioning coach for the football and men's basketball at Menlo College and spent eight seasons with its wrestling and women's basketball programs.
Schulz gained Division I experience at both Stanford University and Santa Clara University. He spent 14 years at Stanford working with a variety of sports, with his main focus being on football, men's and women's basketball.
In 1994, Schulz was hired by Santa Clara University's head basketball coach to develop and implement their strength and conditioning program. While at Santa Clara, he also worked as the strength and conditioning coach for women's basketball, and men's and women's soccer.
Schulz is a 1977 graduate of Doane College with a degree in physical education. He received his master's of education in exercise science from the University of Nebraska in 1981.
