Andrade Ends Season with USA Championships Race

DES MOINES, Iowa – Boise State’s Jordin Andrade raced at the 2013 USA National Championships, Thursday, at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

The junior was one of seven collegiate athletes to race in the 19-person, pro and collegiate 400-meter hurdle field. Andrade ran to a seventh-place finish in his heat and a 17th-place finish overall, clocking a time of 52.31-seconds.

The Bonney Lake, Wash., native just missed out on earning a top-16 finish which would qualify him for the finals.

Johnny Dutch of Nike clocked the fastest qualifying time of 49.46-seconds.

Boise State’s Emma Bates still waits in hopes of a last minute scratch which would advance her into a qualifying spot in the 5000-meters.
