PALM DESERT, Calif. –
Senior Donny Hopoi saved his best round for last, shooting the lowest score for the Boise State men’s golf team at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate during Sunday’s final round.

Hopoi shot 2-under 70 Sunday to move 36 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 71st. The senior finished the weekend with a 54-hole score of 224 (77-77-70, +8). Brian Humphreys (74-73-77, +8) an Jun Ho Won (69-73-82, +8) also finished in a tie for 71st with Hopoi to lead the Broncos.

As a team, Boise State shot 897 (294-300-303, +33) to finish in 18th-place in a field featuring three ranked teams.

Mason Schulze (74-77-78 – 229, +13) and Connor Johnstone (81-80-78 – 239, +23) rounded out the scoring for Boise State.

The Broncos will return to action at the Bandon Dunes Invitational, March 11-13.
