Kim, Skyles Pace Broncos on Day One

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - T.K. Kim and Jordan Skyles shot rounds of even-par 71 to pace Boise State men's golf Thursday, at the Desert Shootout. The Broncos carded a 286 and are in a three-way tie for 11th after the first round, six shots out of third place and 12 shots behind the leader. The event, taking place at Palm Valley Golf Course, will continue Friday and Saturday, with one round each day.

Kim and Skyles are in a tie for 31st, individually. Kim recovered from a slow start to fire a 33 on the back nine. Skyles made the turn at 37 and closed his round with a 34 to tie for team-high honors. The duo is one stroke out of the top 25 and three strokes back from the top 10.

Clayton Kosanovich and Charlie Marusiak are tied for 44th after shooting rounds of 72. John VanDyk rounded out the Bronco contingent with an opening-round 76.
