WHAT IS HAPPENING

  • Boise State men's tennis will close its fall campaign this weekend at the Gopher Invitational at Minneapolis, Minn.

  • The tournament runs Friday through Sunday at the University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center.

  • Six of the ten indoor courts at the Baseline Tennis Center have cameras and will be live streamed ... there will not be any live scoring function for this tournament.

REPRESENTING BOISE STATE

  • The Broncos are sending a four-man contingent to compete in this event including Kyle Butters who will be playing in his first tournament of the fall after recovering from injury.

  • In addition to Butters, Boise State will be represented by Jack Heslin, Stefan Lalovic and Pedro Platzeck

  • The Doubles teams will consist of Butters and Heslin, as well as Lalovic and Platzeck.

THE FIELD

  • The field features representatives from eight schools including: Boise State, Dartmouth, Denver, Minnesota (host), Notre Dame, Oregon, Utah and Wisconsin.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • This tournament has a unique format where it is based off doubles pairings as each twosome will play one doubles match followed by two singles matches against the same team they met in doubles. Each match is worth one point, with the team winning two of the three (best-of-three) points advancing on, while the other team moves into the consolation draw.
