BOISE, Idaho- In its final Pac-12 dual of the season, the No. 23 Boise State wrestling team handily defeated Cal Poly, 43-3 at Taco Bell Arena, Sunday. The match was part of the second Beauty and the Beast event this season which resulted in a win for the Bronco gymnastics team as well.

Boise State was powered by back-to-back pins at 149 and 157 pounds by Jason Chamberlain and George Ivanov, respectively. The match marked the first time two Broncos have recorded falls in a dual this season.

Chamberlain started his bout with what looked might be a takedown for Cal Poly's Dillen Rocha but he was able to get free and almost immediately turn the tables. The All-American took down Rocha just over a minute into the first period and got his pin at the 1:35 mark. It is now the fifth time in the past six matches Chamberlain has won with either a pin or a technical fall.

The victory was the 99th of Chamberlain's career; he will go for win 100 on senior day against Utah Valley.

Ivanov followed up with a first-period pin of his own. After a pair of takedowns, the Council Bluffs, Iowa native was able to get both of Kyle Chene's shoulders on the mat with 25 seconds remaining in the period. It was the third pin for Ivanov this season who is now on a nine-bout win streak.

Scot Bacon handled the Mustangs' Mitch Woods at 174 pounds with a 14-4 major decision. Bacon is now 7-3 over his last 10 matches with four of those wins coming by major decision.

Holden Packard (165), Jake Swartz (184) and Cody Dixon (197) each tallied decisions over their opponents.

Cal Poly forfeited at 133, 141 and 285 pounds which resulted in six points for the Broncos at each weight class.

Boise State will conclude its regular season at Taco Bell Arena, Wednesday, Feb. 13 against Utah Valley. Before the match, five Broncos seniors will be honored.
