MANHEIM, Penn. - The Boise State wrestling team was named to the Division I All-Academic Top 30 Teams by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, Tuesday, while junior J.T. Felix and redshirt junior Jake Swartz were honored as members of the Individual All-Academic Team.

Boise State came in with a team GPA of 3.037, ranking 24th in the nation and second among Pac-12 schools, behind only CSU Bakersfield.

The team GPA was determined using a system that includes 12 student-athletes from each program.  A total of 10 of these came from the wrestlers that were entries in the NCAA tournament conference qualifier.  If teams had less than 10 entries for their respective qualifier, they were allowed to fill those spots with wrestlers that competed in at least one varsity dual during the season.

Swartz has now made the NWCA Individual All-Academic Team in each of his three active years as a Bronco. The Auburn, Wash., native was tabbed this year after qualifying for the NCAA Tournament and holding a 3.41 GPA.

It marks the first individual honor for Felix who also qualified for the NCAA Tournament and boasts a 3.33 GPA while pursuing a degree in Chemistry.
