BOISE, Idaho – Boise State’s gymnastics team added two 2013 freshmen to the Western Athletic Conference All-Academic team, the conference announced Tuesday (June 25).

Maddie Krentz and Molly McFarland were named to the freshman team after earning cumulative grade point averages of 3.00+, as well as competing in at least 50-percent of the Broncos’ competitions this season. The freshmen team is announced only once per school year, following the spring semester.

The duo joined six teammates, Kelsey Black, Alessandra Cinfio, Kelsey Morris, Amanda Otuafi, Brittany Potvin-Green and Erin Wippermann, in earning 2013 WAC All-Academic nods. The six others were named to the winter academic list released in April.

In addition to the freshman/transfer teams, the WAC announced the 2013 WAC All-Academic baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams.  A total of 381 spring student-athletes were named to the list, while 362 freshmen and transfers were added for a total of 743 student-athletes.
