BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer head coach Jim Thomas announced, Wednesday, Hannah Frakes of Boise, Idaho signed a letter of intent to join the Broncos.
Frakes comes from Mountain View High School where she played alongside Baylee Blaser under coaches Alyssa Gentle and Rachel Powell. As a sophomore, Frakes was named All-Southern Idaho Conference honorable mention before making the All-SIC second team as a junior and senior. She also received the SIC Academic Award each of her four years at Mountain View.
“Hannah is an unbelievable competitor that will bring an immense focus on professionalism and representation to the 2013 class and her college career,” said Thomas. “She has a great ability to read the game in attack and defense. Again, keeping the best of the best from Idaho, in Idaho and at Boise State is a huge statement for our program.”
At the club level, Frakes was a member of FC SuperNova Elite under Eric Simmonsen. Frakes and her teammates Baylee Blaser and Andie Hill, who also signed at Boise State, have won two National Championships and were quarterfinalists in the 2012 Surf Cup.
