Locks of Love Video Review

Boise State softball hosted a Locks of Love hair donation event April 19, following its series finale against San Jose State. The event took place on the infield and drew 13 donors, plus three additional pre-cut ponytails were donated to the cause. Boise State junior Lindsey Nicholson spearheaded the project and was one of seven Bronco student-athletes to donate at least 10 inches of their hair.

Boise State vs San Jose State Game 3 Highlights

Boise State defeated San Jose State 7-6 in walk-off fashion Saturday, April 19, to claim the series. Brittany McCray's two-run home run in the seventh inning tied the game before Tara Glover's double drove in the game-winning run. Ashley Palmer tied the school record with four hits, going 4-for-4.

SENIOR (2016): One of just two Broncos to appear in all 52 games, making 46 starts...batted .272 with 10 doubles, five home runs, 20 RBI and seven stolen bases...batted .357 (5-for-14) at the DeMarini Classic in Las Vegas (Feb. 19-21)...broke up a no-hitter against BYU (Feb. 19)...went 2-for-3 with a double against Utah (Feb. 20)...had an RBI double and scored twice while going 1-for-2 against Wichita State (Feb. 21)...drove in three runs, the final two with a walk-off home run, in 9-1, six-inning win over Stanford (Feb. 27)...went 4-for-6 with a double and two RBI over two games at Seattle University (March 5-6)...batted .667 (4-for-6) over three games of the SpringHill Suites Invitational (March 11-12)...went 3-for-3 with two doubles, four RBI against Idaho State (March 11)...hit a solo homer against Texas Tech (March 19)...homered in each of the first two games at Colorado State (April 1), then went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the finale (April 2)...went 2-for-3 with two RBI in series-opening win over UNLV (April 8)...homered and drove in two runs against New Mexico (April 29)...went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI in second game against the Lobos (April 30).

JUNIOR (2015): Appeared in 53 games with 39 starts...second on the team with a .339 batting average, 25 runs scored and nine stolen bases...third on the team with 38 hits and five home runs...also hit 11 doubles with 16 RBI...over the final 15 games of the season batted .410 (16-for-39) with seven two-hit performances, four doubles, a triple, two home runs and seven RBI...went 1-for-3 with a double in win over Texas Southern (Feb. 6)...roped a pinch-hit, RBI double against North Texas (Feb. 7)...drove in another run with a single in win at North Texas (Feb. 8)...since Feb. 20 has batted safely in nine of 10 games, and since Feb. 21 is on a seven-game hitting streak, batting .444 (12-for-27) with four doubles and a home run over this 10-game stretch...went a combined 3-for-3 with an RBI and stolen base against No. 15/14 Minnesota and No. 21/19 Arizona State (Feb. 20)...went 1-for-2 with a double against No. 15/14 Minnestoa (Feb. 21)...doubled, homered and drove in a pair of runs in extra-inning win over Indiana State (Feb. 22)...doubled and scored three times over wins against Portland State and Weber State (Feb. 27)...doubled at Cal State Fullerton (March 13)...hit a two-run homer at UNLV (April 8)...went 2-for-3 with an RBI triple in opener against Nevada (April 10) and 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in the series finale (April 12)...had a two-hit game in opener at Fresno State (April 17)...went 2-for-4 with a solo homer against Colorado State (April 25)...batted .667 (6-for-9) with three doubles, a home run and four RBI in season-ending series against Utah State (May 7-9)...had a pair of hits and a double in each game, highlighted by a 2-for-3 effort with a double, home run and three RBI in the second game.

SOPHOMORE (2014): Appeared in 39 games, including 28 starts...all but two of her starts came in the outfield; the other two came at third base...batted .183 with a triple, a home run and six runs batted in...drew 20 walks with an on-base percentage of .395, and scored 18 runs...was 10-for-12 on stolen-base attempts...had an RBI in loss to Northwestern (Feb. 8)...singled in a loss to Minnesota (Feb. 15)...reached base in all three plate appearances (single, two walks) and scored twice in win at Saint Mary's (March 1)...went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in win over Lafayette (March 14)...had a big series at Utah State, going 4-for-7 (.571) with six runs scored and three RBI as the Broncos swept the Aggies...had two hits in each end of series-opening doubleheader (March 22), highlighted by a triple and three RBI in the nightcap, an 11-9 win...walked twice, stole two bases and scored thrice in series finale (March 23).

FRESHMAN (2013): Appeared in 30 games...made nine starts in the outfield...appeared in 11 games as a pinch runner...batted .207 with six hits, including two doubles...scored four runs, drew four walks and stole one base...saw action in 10 conference games, including one start (at UNLV, May 5)...recorded a two-hit game in first-career start, going 2-for-4 with a steal and a run scored at UTSA (Feb. 16).

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner at Woodbridge under head coach Alan Dugard...started all 84 games during three-year varsity career, playing third base and shortstop...collected 91 hits during career, including 40 as a senior with a .430 batting average...selected to All-Pacific Coast League First Team as a junior and senior, leading team in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and runs scored both years...led Warriors to a 17-13 record as a senior, including an 8-2 mark in league play to finish second...hit nine doubles, five triples and five home runs, scored 35 time, drove in 28 and was a perfect 18-for-18 on stolen base attempts as a senior...hit .418 as a junior with 33 hits (15 for extra bases) and 23 runs scored...named second-team All-Pacific Coast League as a sophomore, hitting .261 with four extra-base hits including a team-best three home runs...led team in home runs all three seasons on varsity squad...four-year member of Woodbridge Principal's Honor Roll...played three summers for Irvine Sting and coach Blair Ota on travel-ball circuit in the outfield and at third base...bats and throws right-handed...plans to study health sciences.
