Boise State Athletics sets department record with 73 student-athletes named to 2017 Fall Academic All-Mountain West Team

2017 | JUNIOR SEASON
Went 6-5 overall during the 2017 campaign while paired with Maddy O’Donnell, they went 6-4 at No. 1 pair and 0-1 at the second position ... opened year with a straight-set victory 21-17, 21-18 over Pacific’s (March 10) top-tandem of Lexi Elman and Andie Shelton to help Broncos defeat Tigers 3-2 ... swept San Francisco’s No. 1 pair of Nora Buvarp Lavik and Camille Araujo 21-6, 21-18 in a Boise State win ... faced Sacramento State’s top team of Morgan Stanley and Madeline Cannon twice splitting with them collecting a three-set 10-21, 21-12, 15-11 win on the road (March 12) and falling in two sets at home (April 7) ... collected two victories over Oregon’s No. 1 duo of Lindsey Vander Weide and Brooke Van Sickle winning 17-21, 21-17, 15-13 in Boise (April 7) and 21-14, 21-14 at Stanford, Calif., (April 14) in a pair of Bronco victories ... last win of season came in straight-sets 21-13, 21-17 over California’s (April 15) Jessica Gaffney and Mia Merino.
2016 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Played in every match as a sophomore competing with Kaitlyn Oliver at No. 3 and 4 pairs going a combined 8-3 overall to tie for team-high ... went 5-3 at No. 3 pair and 3-0 at No. 4 ... opened season as the No. 4 pair at the University of Oregon Tournament (April 3-4) at Portland where they went 3-0 winning all three in straight sets starting with Portland's Katie Barker and Djurdjina Milovic (21-17, 21-19), followed by a dominating win versus Oregon's Lauren Page and August Raskie (21-9, 21-8) and Stanford's duo of Courtney Bowen and Jennifer DiSanto (21-17, 21-16) ... moved up to No. 3 pair starting with the Stanford University Tournament (April 9-10) where they went 3-1 recording wins against Saint Mary's tandem of Alexis Salmons and Madi Wilkerson (21-11, 14-21, 15-9), Arizona State's Mia Rivera and Madison Berridge (21-15, 21-15) and California's No. 3 pair of Grace Campbell and Olivia Rodberg (24-22, 19-21, 15-8) ... went 2-1 at the Sacramento State Tournament (April 15-16) tallying victories versus Sac State's Lexie Skalbeck and Lana Brown (21-12, 21-15) and Pacific's Mia Feiner and Jess Hess (21-14, 21-16).
2015 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Competed in every competition as a freshman going a combined 6-11 overall ... played in five matches during the season paired with Maddi Osburn, during road trip to state of Arizona where they went 1-4 overall at No. 4 pair, recorded a three-set victory at Arizona State in Tempe against the Sun Devils’ tandem of Whitney Follette and Halle Harker 21-15, 12-21, 15-12 ... teamed with classmate Maddi Osburn during the rest of the season going 5-7 overall at the No. 5 pairs position ... went 3-3 at the Sacramento State Tournament (April 3-5) recording straight-set wins over San Jose State’s Katrina Pilepic and Emily Reed 21-11, 21-13, as well as Cal Poly’s duo of Casey Carroll and Shannon Fouts 23-21, 21-18, also earned a three-set victory over California’s Ashley Johnson and Sabrina Blackwell 21-10, 17-21, 17-15 ... defeated Loyola Marymount’s No. 5 pair of Taylor Scioscia and Kristen Castellanos 21-15, 22-20 at the USA Volleyball Collegiate Challenge (April 11-12) at Hermosa Beach, Calif. ... closed season with a split in Boise State’s first ever home matches versus Oregon and Arizona (April 24) earning a two-set win over the Duck’s Roni LaPierre and Marine Hall-Poirier 21-16, 21-18 recording the Broncos’ first ever beach volleyball pairs victory at home.
VALLIVUE HIGH SCHOOL
A 2014 graduate of Vallivue High School in Caldwell, Idaho ... four-year starter for the Falcons’ varsity team playing for coach Michelle O’Connel ... as a senior recorded 508 kills, 16 blocks, seven assists, 33 service aces and 333 digs ... junior year amassed 301 kills, 14 blocks, five assists, seven service aces and 230 digs ... helped VHS to a top-two league finish last three years, winning the title junior year ... advanced to state tournament last three seasons placing third junior year and fourth as a senior ... team went a combined 46-9 last two years.
HONORS: Two-time all-state first team honoree as junior and senior ... three-time first-team All-Southern Idaho Conference ... SIC Player of the Year as junior ... team captain senior year ... four-time all-conference scholar athlete ... senior class president ... also lettered in basketball and track & field ... basketball team won two district championships.
Played club ball for Boise Volleyball Club of Boise, Idaho ... named to USA Volleyball’s Junior National Championship All-Tournament Team.
A two-sport athlete also playing for the Boise State volleyball (indoor) team where she was a three-time All-Mountain West selection 2015-17.
Majoring in Communication ... two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
