21 Bronco Student-Athletes Among Winter Graduates

Nine teams were represented at the 2013 Winter Commencement

Career Highlights: Left as school record holder in three individual events and one relay (500, 1000 and 1650 free; 800 free relay)...left as only Bronco to break 10-minute mark in 1000 free...three-career gold medals (six overall) at conference championships...three-time conference champion in 800 free relay...silver medalist in 1650 free at 2012 MW Championships and in 500 free at 2010 WAC Championships...helped the Broncos to three team conference championships...left with third-most individual event wins in school history (25)...13 individual event wins in 2009-10 are most by a Bronco freshman and tied for sixth all-time in a single season at time of graduation...WAC Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 2-8, 2009).

Senior (2012-13): Swam second-fastest 1650 free in school history to take second at Missouri Invite...1000-yard split in same race was also second-fastest 1000 free time in school history...took third in 200 free and 500 free at Missouri Invite...bronze-medal time in 500 free was second-fastest in school history...unable to compete at 2013 Mountain West Championships due to illness...won two events during season, taking 1000 free against BYU (Dec. 15) and at Denver (Jan. 25)...finished runner up in six races and third in five more.

Junior (2011-12): Set three school records at the 2012 Mountain West Championships, including shattering the mark in the 1650 free by 20 seconds to earn the silver medal and an NCAA 'B' cut...claimed the 1000 free record en route to her mile, becoming first Bronco to break 10 minutes (9:58.86)...placed fourth in the 500 free with a school record...also set a personal best in the 200 free to finish 10th...helped the Broncos to gold in the 800 free relay at the conference meet...finished season ranked No. 53 in the NCAA in 1650 free...swept the 500 free and 1000 free at Seattle (Nov. 19)...swept 500 free and 1650 free against Colorado State (Jan. 28)...contributed to the Broncos' undefeated season in the 400 free relay, swimming on the winning squad at Seattle (Nov. 19)...won four individual events and was a member of three winning relays.

Sophomore (2010-11): Broke two of her own school records and helped the 800 freestyle relay team to gold at the 2011 WAC Championships ...finished third in the 500 free and 1650 free, earning an NCAA 'B' cut in the 500...lowered record in the mile by nearly 13 seconds...won the 500 and 1000 freestyle races against Rice (Oct. 8) and at Seattle and Oregon State (Feb. 5)...earned 10 individual victories in dual meets and was part of four winning relay teams on the year.

Freshman (2009-10): Garnered WAC Swimmer of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 2-8, becoming the fourth Bronco in history to earn the weekly award...set school records in the 500 and 1000 free as well as the mile during her freshman campaign...also helped the Broncos to a WAC title in the 800 free relay in a school record time...began her Bronco career with first-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 at the WAC Shootout (Oct. 9-10)...helped the Broncos take down Washington State (Oct. 17) with a title in the 1000 free...won both long distance events over Northern Arizona (Nov. 13), Tulane (Jan. 7), San Diego (Jan. 9), Idaho (Jan. 23) and New Mexico State (Jan. 30)...finished second in the 500 free at the WAC Championships and finished ninth in the 200 free...WAC All-Academic.

High School: Four-year letterwinner under coach Wad Hondo...three-time team MVP...state champion in the 500 free in the 2006-07 season...holds the Maui Interscholastic League record in the 500 free...won the state championship in the 500 free and 1000 free for her club team, the Hawaii Swim Club, in 2008...named the MIL Swimmer of the Year for the 2006-07 season.
