Boise State women's swimming and diving finished second at the 2013 Mountain West Championships with 575 points. Rachel Heaney won the 200-yard butterfly to highlight the final day of competition.
Sophomore (2012-13): Scored in two events and set three lifetime bests at 2013 Mountain West Championships...made first-career championship final in 200 back, placing seventh...qualifying time was eighth-fastest in school history...also took 15th in 100 back...set lifetime best in prelims of 50 free...scored in both backstroke events at Missouri Invite...scored seven times during duels...finished as high as third during dual-meet competition, doing so in 200 back three times.
Freshman (2011-12): Set lifetime best in the 200 back at the 2012 Mountain West Championships to finish 12th...also placed 14th in the 100 back at the conference meet...missed early part of the year recovering from injury...made season debut at Missouri Invite (Dec. 1-3), taking 12th in the 100 back...finished third in the 100 back against Oregon State (Jan. 21) and Colorado State (Jan. 28)...took sixth in the event at UCLA (Jan. 4)...MW Scholar-Athlete...Academic All-MW.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Hudson's Bay High School, under head coach Dave Soelberg...All-American recognition in 100 back...two-time WIAA 3A state champion in 100 back, repeating in her final two seasons...six-time district champion...advanced to state meet all four years...honored as SW Washington All-Region Swimmer of the Year by The Columbian in 2010...first-team All-Greater St. Helens League all four seasons...swam for Vancouver Swim Club, under coach Vicki Gordon...participated at summer junior nationals the past three years...three-time USA Swimming Scholar All-American...four-year member of CRHS Honor Roll...graduated No. 2 in high school class...National Honor Society officer as a senior...plans to study elementary education.
