FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Cassidy Bose took second on the platform Saturday afternoon to lead Boise State on the final day of the Northern Arizona Diving Quad Meet at Flagstaff, Ariz.

The junior began where she left off yesterday placing in the top-three divers out of 17 participants by tallying a preliminary-round-high score of 223.75 on the platform.

Carrying that momentum into the finals, Bose improved upon her prelim score by 18 points for a final round tally of 241.75. Unfortunately, she was edged out in the finals by NAU’s Raquel Gonzales (244.30) for the title.

On the weekend, Bose recorded second-place finishes on the 1-meter springboard and platform, as well as third-place on the 3-meter springboard.

Competing collegiately for the second time in their careers on the platform, Boise State freshmen Taylor Clark and Tatum Thompkins both advanced to today’s final round with scores of 192.55 (then-career-high) and 157.85, respectively.

Clark took seventh overall beating her first-round score with a new career-high total of 197.20 in the finals, while Thompkins took ninth on a career-best 182.40.

The platform dive was the only event of the day following Friday’s 1-meter and 3-meter springboard competitions. Next up, for the Boise State swimming and diving team is the title defense of their 2017 Mountain West Conference Championship Feb. 14-18 at San Antonio, Texas.
