COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West announced its women's tennis postseason honors Thursday night at its annual championship banquet and among those recognized were Boise State's Sandy Vo, Manuela Pietzuch and Marlena Pietzuch. All three were named to the 2013 All-MW team as voted on by the conference's nine head coaches. The trio were among a list of honorees that included 14 student-athletes named all-conference in singles and in doubles. The league also handed out its player and freshman of the year awards.

Marlena Pietzuch, a senior from Hechingen, Germany, was honored twice receiving all-conference recognition in both singles and doubles. This is the third consecutive year that Pietzuch has received postseason recognition in doubles, this is the second time she was honored with her twin Manuela. This marks the first time the senior earned all-conference recognition in singles playing on courts one and two in 2013. Pietzuch is one of the most successful Broncos ever with a career singles record of 104-46 in four years, her doubles mark is  86-49.

Sandy Vo was recognized as an all-conference honoree in singles making it the first postseason award of her career. The junior from Melbourne, Australia, split time with Marlena Pietzuch playing on courts one and two for Boise State this spring going 10-3 at No. 2 singles and 12-7 overall, her record on the year is 17-9 heading into tomorrow's quarterfinals.

Manuela Pietzuch received her second MW All-Conference award of her Boise State career in doubles while playing with her twin sister Marlena. Since Manuela transferred to Boise State as a junior the sisters from Germany have played No. 1 doubles for the Broncos during the last two seasons going a combined 23-18.

The trio of honorees will lead the fifth-seeded Broncos into Friday's MW Championship quarterfinals at 10 a.m. (Mountain) against the No. 4 seed Nevada Wolf Pack in Colorado Springs, Colo. The tournament is being play on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
