BOISE STATE TENURE (2012-present)
Alisha Young is entering her third season with the program as she moves back into the role of director of operations. She spent the 2012 season as an assistant coach on the Boise State staff. Young's responsibilities include: the day-to-day operations of the program, travel arrangements, heading up the video program, as well as heading up the teams' outreach/community service activities, clinics, tournaments and camps.
Following graduation from Boise State in the summer of 2011, Young joined the staff as the director of operations that fall.
BOISE STATE COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER
Young was a standout for the Broncos competing from 2007 through 2010. During her career she was a all-conference and academic all-conference honoree. The native of American Fork, Utah, finished her career ranked second in career points with 1,271.5 and ninth in kills with 1,055. Young's senior campaign (2010) was an outstanding one as she recorded several Boise State top-10 performances for a season, including setting the school record for points in a season with 524.5. Her other top-10 marks were the second-best hitting percentage in program history at 33.9 percent, 10th-best year for blocks with 140 and fourth most kills with 414.
She graduated from Boise State with a bachelors degree in health science. The former Alisha King is married to former Boise State basketball player Tyler Young, they have one son named Daniel who was born in March of 2013.
