SAN JOSE, Calif. – Eliyah Flores delivered a two-out, RBI-double in the top of the ninth to lift Boise State to a 1-0 victory over San Jose State in Mountain West softball, Saturday.
The game-winning hit followed a walk to Jordyn Hutchins and gave the Broncos (22-12, 9-2 MW) their 13th-straight road win in conference play, dating back to last season.
Taylor Caudill (10-7) went the distance for her fourth shutout of the season and the eighth of her career. She gave up six hits, walked three and struck out six Spartans (19-22, 7-8)
Neither team advanced a runner past second base until Flores's heroics in the ninth.
