Broncos to Meet Washington State in Spokane

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's basketball will return to Spokane, Wash., to play Washington State on Dec. 21, at the Numerica Holiday Hoops 2023 supporting Numerica CARES for Kids! the Spokane Chiefs and Brett Sports announced. The neutral-site game will be played at Spokane Arena.
Thanks to title partner Numerica Credit Union, a portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Numerica CARES for Kids, a program supporting non-profit organizations focusing on youth and families.
"Numerica Credit Union is committed to partnering with organizations that care for youth and families," said Jennifer O'Callaghan, senior vice president of marketing. "We're excited to see how Numerica Holiday Hoops will bring together sports fans while raising money for children in need across our communities."
This is the third-consecutive year the Broncos and Cougars will meet on a neutral court. Boise State has won both previous meetings, which began with a 58-52 win at Spokane Arena on Dec. 22, 2021. Boise State won last year's meeting at Idaho Central Arena, 71-61.
The Broncos are looking to make three straight NCAA Tournaments for the first time in program history, and they come off the best two-year stretch in Boise State history with 51 victories since the start of the 2021-22 season.
Leon Rice returns for his 14th season at the helm of the Broncos as the winningest coach in school history with four NCAA Tournament appearances to his name. Returning for Boise State are All-Mountain West selections Tyson Degenhart and Max Rice, alongside starter Chibuzo Agbo. The Broncos will field an experienced squad in 2023-24, with the roster featuring a combined 564 appearances and 273 starts at the NCAA level entering the season.
