COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Boise State's Kaiya Robertson and Ezra Teeples earned Mountain West Cross Country Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced, Tuesday.

The award is Robertson's second weekly accolade in 2025. She previously garnered the distinction following her performance at the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Oct. 3.

She is the first Boise State women's cross country athlete to be named MW Athlete of the Week multiple times in the same season since 2020. The last Bronco to accomplish the feat was Tyler Beling, who earned the award on Feb. 2 and Feb. 23.

In the Princeton Fall Classic, Robertson collected three points and placed third in the women's 6k. She posted a time of 19:56.2, signifying the third-fastest 6k time in her collegiate career.

Featuring 270 runners who completed the 6k, Robertson concluded the race behind Morgan Nokes (Utah Valley) and Anna McNatt (Princeton). As a unit, Boise State's women's team finished ahead of Pittsburgh and Syracuse from the ACC and Rutgers, who are members of the Big Ten.

For Teeples, it's the first time he has been named Mountain West Freshman of the Week. The last Boise State freshman to take home the honor was Julia Kiesler on Sept. 26, 2023, following her performance at the Roy Griak Invitational.

In the men's 8k at the George Oja Invitational, Teeples recorded a personal best. He posted a time of 24:11.20, placing him 10th in a field of 100 runners.

Up next, the Broncos will compete in the Mountain West Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31. This year, the event is hosted by Fresno State.
