Broncos Wrap Fall Season in Maui

WHAT'S NEXT: In the final tournament of the fall season, Boise State men's golf travels to Lahaina, Maui to participate in the Kā'anapali Classic. Consisting of 19 teams, the three-day event begins on Monday, Oct. 27 and concludes on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
COURSE LAYOUT: Royal Kā'anapali boasts a 6,700-yard, par-71 configuration.
FORMAT / TEE TIMES: Participating teams will play a total of 54 holes—18 each day—with a five count four format. Each day features a 12:30 p.m. MT shotgun start.

LAST TIME OUT: Finishing six strokes ahead of second place, the Broncos notched their 19th team tournament win in program history—and second with head coach David Trainor at the helm—after collectively shooting 866 (+2) in the Oregon State Invitational. Cole Rueck garnered his seventh individual championship (five tournaments, two duals), carding a 212 (-4).
QUALITY IN THE FALL: Through four tournaments, Boise State has amassed a 42-20-2 record. The team has placed top 6 in three of the four events and have had six different golfers combine for 11 top-25 finishes.
AN EXPERIENCED SQUAD: Head Coach David Trainor, who is in his fourth season at the helm, returned seven golfers from last year's team, including five upperclassmen. New to the squad is Grant Potter and Ryan Shepherd, who are from Hayden and Boise, Idaho, respectively.
RUECK CONTINUES TO IMPRESS: Cole Rueck, in his senior season, is fresh off his second-consecutive All-Mountain West selection. With 14 top-10 finishes in his career, including four this year, Rueck is tied with Brian Humphreys and Hugo Townsend for the third most in program history. He is one such finish away from tying Troy Merritt for second.
