Ava de Leest Tabbed MW Defensive Player of the Week and Co-Freshman

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Freshman goalkeeper Ava de Leest was tabbed the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week and Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced, Saturday.

The Fullerton, Calif., native recorded a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Utah State. In the win, de Leest made four saves. It marked her sixth shutout of the season.

This is the third weekly award for de Leest. She last earned the honor following a 1-0 win against Grand Canyon (Oct. 23).

Boise State will host the Mountain West Women's Soccer Championship, Nov. 2-8. As the No. 1 seed the Broncos will have a first round bye and will play in a semifinal match, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
