A pair of attack errors by the Aztecs gave the Broncos a 2-0 lead in set three and Boise State never trailed. The Broncos hit .314 in the set and held the Aztecs to .118.

Set four was tied 12-12 and then Sharp combined with Dreves for a block and Ari Bilby for another. Sharp added a kill to put the Broncos up 15-12 at the media timeout.
