BOISE, Idaho – Natalie Pasco scored a game-high 19 points and Boise State held off a pesky UC Riverside squad 67-56, Sunday at ExtraMile Arena.

Boise State started slowly, spotting UC Riverside the game's first-five points. The Broncos missed their first five shots and committed two turnovers before Tatum Thompson scored at the 6:38 mark of the first quarter.

Thompson's basket ignited an 8-2 run capped by Mason Borcherding's two free throws that gave Boise State its first lead with 3:29 remaining in the opening period. The Broncos led 14-13 after the first quarter, despite making just 4-of-17 shots from the field.

In the second quarter, there were four lead changes. Boise State erased a five-point deficit with a 13-4 run over the final 4:21 of the first half and the Broncos led 33-29 at the break.

The Broncos used a 10-0 run to increase their lead to 49-33 with 2:37 left in the third quarter. The Highlanders scored the final-six points of the period and extended their run to 16-2 to trim Boise State's lead to 51-49 with 6:53 remaining in the game.

Boise State's bench scored the next six points for the Broncos and Pasco knocked down a 3-pointer to push the lead back to 60-51 with 3:04 to play. Another trey by Pasco made the score 63-56 at the 1:45 mark.
