NFL Broncos: Week Five

BOISE, Idaho – Twelve former Boise State players will represent the Broncos in Week Five of the NFL season. Eleven players will be in action, including two in primetime. Khalil Shakir and the Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots for a crucial AFC East game on Sunday night. Ezra Cleveland and the Jacksonville Jaguars welcome the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs for a Monday Night Football showdown. Full information for Week Five is below. SUNDAY
Las Vegas Raiders (Ashton Jeanty) at Indianapolis Colts – FOX, 11 a.m.

Ashton Jeanty had another historic performance, running for 138 yards and a touchdown while catching a pair of touchdowns in Las Vegas' 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears. He is the only player in the league to tally over 150 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in a game this season and is the first Raider rookie since Bo Jackson (1987) to score three touchdowns in a game. His 64-yard touchdown run is the second-longest rushing score of the season. Jeanty ranks second in the NFL in yards after contact (275).

Denver Broncos (JL Skinner) at Philadelphia Eagles – CBS, 11 a.m.
JL Skinner played 19 special teams snaps in Denver's 28-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Broncos rank 10th in the league in Pro Football Focus special teams grade (77.8) and are tied for second in the AFC West at 2-2.

New Orleans Saints (Kellen Moore) vs. New York Giants – CBS, 11 a.m.
Kellen Moore and the Saints fell to the undefeated Buffalo Bills, 31-19. New Orleans ran for a season-high 189 yards, averaging 5.6 yards per carry.

Seattle Seahawks (George Holani, DeMarcus Lawrence) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – CBS, 2:05 p.m.
George Holani returned three kicks for 74 yards, including a career-long 33-yard return. The Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals, 23-20, making a field goal as time expired. DeMarcus Lawrence started and made one solo tackle before suffering an injury on the final play of the first quarter. Seattle improved to 3-1, tied for first in the NFC West. 

Tennessee Titans (John Ojukwu) at Arizona Cardinals – CBS, 2:05 p.m.
John Ojukwu has started two games for the Titans after beginning the year on the practice squad. He played all 66 offensive snaps in a 33-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams before playing 37 total snaps in a 41-20 loss to the Colts. The three-time All-Mountain West selection has appeared in 16 NFL games, starting nine.

Los Angeles Chargers (Scott Matlock) vs. Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) – FOX, 2:25 p.m.
Scott Matlock made his second start of the year for the Chargers in their 21-18 loss to the New York Giants. The fullback caught his first pass of the season, bringing his career totals to five receptions for 29 yards. Los Angeles leads the AFC West at 3-1. Jeremy McNichols played a season-high 19 offensive snaps in Washington's 34-27 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, recording 4 yards from scrimmage. John Bates missed his second straight game while recovering from a groin injury.

Cincinnati Bengals (Brett Rypien) vs. Detroit Lions – FOX, 2:25 p.m.
Brett Rypien did not play in Cincinnati's 28-3 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Buffalo Bills (Khalil Shakir) vs. New England Patriots – NBC, 6:20 p.m.
Khalil Shakir posted five receptions for a season-best 69 yards in Buffalo's 31-19 win over the New Orleans Saints. He scored the game's first touchdown on a highlight-reel, 43-yard catch-and-run, his longest of the season. He also added a 6-yard punt return. The Boise State product ranks second among NFL wide receivers in missed tackles forced (8) and fifth in yards after catch (137). The Bills are one of two undefeated teams in the league, ranking second in total offense at 404.0 yards per game.

MONDAY
Jacksonville Jaguars (Ezra Cleveland) vs. Kansas City Chiefs – ABC/ESPN, 6:15 p.m.

Ezra Cleveland played all 68 offensive snaps for the Jaguars in their 26-21 win over the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers. He has played every offensive snap for Jacksonville this season, helping the team average 144.0 rushing yards per game, fourth-most in the league. The Jaguars are tied for first in the AFC South at 3-1, their best start to a season since 2018.
