BOISE, Idaho – Boise State linebacker Marco Notarainni has been named to the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Watch List, the organization announced. The redshirt senior is one of 67 players featured on the list. The award recognized the FBS player who exhibits exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship on and off the field.

Notarainni ranks second on the team with 29 tackles this season, tallying 18 solo, and is tied for the lead in quarterback hurries (4). He captains a defense that recorded five sacks and three interceptions against App State, limiting the Mountaineers to 65 passing yards, including 2 in the second half. The Broncos are the only team in the country to limit their opponent to 2 or fewer passing yards in multiple halves this season. Boise State held Air Force to 1 yard in the first half of a 49-37 Bronco win.

The Torrey Pines HS product is a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and is featured on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and Shrine Bowl 1000 watch lists. He is also a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Last season, the San Diego, Calif., native received College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America and First Team All-Mountain West honors.

In May, Notarainni was recognized as a Boise State University Top 10 Scholar, earning a 3.96 GPA as he received his bachelor's degree in business administration. In 2022, he co-founded WealthIntel LLC, a mobile application designed to help student-athletes navigate the financial implications of NIL. He also is a dual citizen of the United States and Argentina.
