BOISE, Idaho – Boise State running back Dylan Riley was named to the Associated Press Midseason All-America Second Team, the organization announced. The junior has 835 rushing yards and 998 all-purpose yards, leading the nation in both categories.
In addition to his 835 rushing yards on 127 attempts, Riley has 11 receptions for 120 yards and two kick returns for 43 yards. He has six rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown this year. He has four 100-yard performances, including a career-best 206-yard effort in a win over Memphis on Sept. 12. He totaled 246 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns against South Dakota on Sept. 19 and added a 138-yard, one-touchdown game at Western Michigan on Sept. 26. A native of Moreno Valley, California, Riley is the only FBS player with three rushes of 70+ yards. He currently ranks third in program history in career yards per carry (6.1) and is tied for fifth with five career 200-yard all-purpose games. His 2026 averages of 6.6 yards per carry and 139.2 rushing yards per game are both third in Boise State single-season history. He was recognized as Doak Walker National Running Back and Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week following the Memphis game and earned a nod on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll after the Fresno State game. He and quarterback Maddux Madsen were one of 20 duos selected for the Pony Express Award Midseason Watch List, which recognizes the top tandem in college football.
Boise State has climbed to No. 23 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the Coaches Poll, tallying a 5-1 overall record and 2-0 Pac-12 record. The Broncos are off this weekend but return with a road conference matchup with Washington State. Boise State meets the Cougars at 4 p.m. MT on Oct. 24, with the game airing nationally on USA Sports.
